Common Core or Common Whore?

Article 45 Common Core or Common WhoreSummer is coming to an end, and Fall is upon us. School bells are ringing again around the country. Hard working and loving parents place their loved and precious children in the public school system in good faith, believing the school system has their best interest in mind. As parents who attended the public school system themselves, they know the education system is not perfect but believe the same values of respect, hard work, integrity, honesty and decency are still being taught in these schools. However, are those values still being taught? What is exactly being taught in the public school systems these days that is trusted by millions of hard working parents who tax dollars pay for those schools to operate?

School boards, parents, and teachers have raised concern about how math is taught through this model, as it is not at all how you or I learned math. Reading and writing standards are being lowered, and mediocracy is being promoted.

Lesser known, but even more alarming, is the sex education program woven into the fabric of Common Core. The sex education or what is being renamed “gender education” does not appear “mediocre” but appears to be something that would be seen and taught in a college human sexuality class.

Now, I admit I am no expert on Common Core, but I am an expert as a sex therapist in regard to sex, pornography and intimacy issues. I am also a parent, so I began to do some research, and here are some things I found.

I began to notice that some of the criticism is speculative. However, finding access and solid evidence (of the actual curriculum) is difficult as well as appears to be restrictive and tight lipped. So I wonder what are they hiding and what is so secretive. This is concerning. If my tax dollars are paying for public schools and the education of the children of our future, this should accessible to the public. You can decide for yourself.

For example, Washington DC schools are administering a “standardized sex education test” which does not explain what this is exactly, what questions are being asked or if they are even appropriate questions? More concerning is that this test is being given to children as young as 5th grade.

This article states the Common Core “gender education” will be taught to children starting at age 11. The goal is to teach “cultural sensitivity” and not be judgmental. “Everything is relative to a core-ist.” The curriculum is restricted from parents but taught to their children with photographs of “oral sex: mouth on genitals, vaginal sex: penis enters vagina, anal sex: penis enters anus.” Common Core is built on the principles of constructivist, “children who know how to think for themselves spoil the harmony of the collective society, which is coming…”

This article explains that “Common Core sex education is teaching your children about sex, masturbation and even abortion through some very pornographic cartoons.” “No discussion about adoption in lieu of abortion.” “…Children in the 6th grade are being taught how to use a strap on dildo!”

Here, in this article, we see Common Core is using many questionable books as “mandatory reading.” “At least three books listed on the modules [curriculums] contain passages using inappropriate language and visual imagery that most would consider pornographic.” However, there is more, as many school districts have banned the book The Bluest Eye, which is part of Common Core, as it is an “explicit depiction of rape, incest, sexual violence, and pedophilia.”

The most alarming article was written by Dr. Pesta. “The sexual content of Common Core crosses into every curriculum taught…Since sex practices are included in every subject taught, parents will no longer be able to opt out…” “They are being taught by specially sex skilled teachers, and the students are tested on sexual skills and concepts being taught.  Every imaginable inappropriate sexual skill is being taught to students in kindergarten thru grade 12.”

Now, I don’t care about the color of your skin, gender, faith or no faith, if you are liberal or conservative, Democrat, Republican, Independent, Socialist, or Capitalist. This is alarming information. There is too much to ignore to not at least look into the facts of this issue. As a parent or a grandparent, you should be concerned about what Common Core is and what it is not. I do not know of any loving parent who would want their child of any age, let alone a 5-year-old child, to be exposed to the Common Core sex education curriculum.

Begin to ask yourself and your public school system some questions. Why is Common Core laced with so much inappropriate sexual content? Why does sex need to be taught in every subject? What are the negative emotional and mental effects of porn on my child? Who wrote this material? Why did they write this material? What is the goal of this material to be taught? Is Common Core making my child a Common Whore?
