In this spell-breaking series, this will be the fourth and final blog to help us get out of our religious ego.  As a Christian, I have always wrestled with things make my spirit, gut, or intuition go; hmmm, that does not quite make sense, or that is a little off.  The longer I have been in record from sexual addiction and intimacy, it only becomes louder and stronger. What are those things? Read the previous blog on entitled, “Questions for the Church.”

For a moment, let us pretend that you or I am an all-knowing, perfect, omni-present being and created species, plants, animals, insects and a balanced eco system. We have no wants or needs from our creation and love it just for the sake of loving it. Now, why would you or I find pleasure and love in this created species when they kill other animals or burn them on an alter as thought it would make us happy with a smell and aroma. This sounds savage and more like a barbeque. I “love” the smell chicken on the grill too, but that does not mean I loved the chicken or the person who placed it on the grill.

Something is a little off.

The Old Testament has strict rules around blood, such as how to handle the blood from men, women, children, and animals.  This sounds like codependency, god dependent on blood, which reminds me of vampires, ticks, and leeches. YHVH/LORD demands his people kill millions of men, women, and children over and over again. That is a lot of blood.  If I look up images of a blood bath or bathe in blood as the old hymn Washed in the blood of the Lamb, I cannot say any of those images look holy, positive, sacred, or providing a loving energy. In fact, they look demonic and evil. Look them up yourself.

This LORD demanded his share of cattle, sheep, and virgins as well as the gold was his. In Psalms, Numbers, and Isaiah, this YHVH/LORD also describes himself with a long nose, fire came from his nostrils, having wings, and a thick skin-like armor or scales.  This description is where the words Nehushtan and Seraphim are translated as a fiery serpent or dragon.  Wait, What?! Hmmm, that does not quite make sense, or that is a little off.

Why does this Old Testament Yaldabaoth, Demiurge, YHVH/ LORD require circumcision of infant boys?  Again, this is a theme of blood. This self-identified and proclaimed jealous, angry, territorial LORD states that is to mark his people with a covenant he has with them.  Why do you have to mark what is yours if you are so secure in yourself?

If you look up current pediatric studies done by respectable institutions on circumcision of infant boys, more and more studies are showing the severe physical, emotional trauma, and permanent brain damage this may cause. The infants feel extreme pain and trauma! It causes PTSD, yet the church and the medical field continue to do it and encourage it. Again, hmmm, that is interesting.

Now, let’s take a look at the word Bible. (Bi-ble, or Bi-baal) Bi, means two. In Hebrew, Baal or Ba’al can mean leader, god, winged god, Lord, or Owner. What if the very word bible means two Baals or the story of two gods, two lords? Some believe the God El is the supreme God, above YHVH. Now, the word bible makes more sense.

The name or word Christ is more original than the name of Jesus. The letter J did not come into existence until the 15th Century. Christ can be spelled many ways: Christo, Christio, Crist, Krist, Kryst, Krysit, and even Krystio or Kryistio. Well, so what, why should I care?  You should care because Khryist or Christio can be spelled a number of ways. It can be spelled with seven or eight letters and believed to be the first seven or eight letters or words, frequencies, or vibrations spoken by God, Creator, All, Source, Love, or Father that Jesus Christ is speaking of.

I think Christ is speaking of a Father outside or above the firmament of this world and a divine light or spark that resides inside each one of us. How many notes are in musical scale for each octave? There are seven.  Some would say eight: Do, Re, Me, Fa, So, La, Ti, and back to Do again, which makes eight. Regardless, I think everything is frequency and vibration. This is not by accident. Christ is not talking about the Old Testament YHVH/ LORD or blood “god” inside the firmament. He is speaking of the Source, Creator, All God who spoke everything into existence, not this low-level blood god.

In the New Testament, Jesus Christ makes some interesting statements I had to unlearn and look at differently. Because what I was told they meant and what they really mean are two different things.

For example, Matthew 5 is known as the beatitudes. Jesus is talking about Moses and the law. This is not just an updated version or Laws of Moses 2.0. He is separating himself from Moses and his blood god over and over again with the words “but I say…”  He is rejecting the teachings and behaviors of Moses.  By the way, Moses’ face is described as lit up, illuminated, or shiny.  This is a mistranslation. The word actually is… “horns.”  Moses came down from Mount Sinai with horns?!  Hmmm, that is a little off. That’s a bit crazy.  Research Michael Angelo’s sculpture of Moses. Maybe he knew something we didn’t.

In Luke 11:11-12 (NLT), it states, “You fathers–if your children ask for a fish, do you give them a snake instead? Of if they ask for an egg, do you give them a snake? Of course not!” What is Christ talking about? I think he is setting himself apart from the Old Testament YHVH/LORD. He referenced the Jewish Old Testament or Talmud because that is his audience, and they all know what he is saying.

Well, in Numbers 21, we see the people of Israel just have victory by killing a lot of Canaanites. They are tired, hungry, and thirsty; probably more like dying of hunger and thirst. What is the response of their “heavenly” father?  In Numbers 21:6 (NLT), it states, “So the LORD sent poisonous snakes among the people, and many were bitten and died.”

The Christ of the New Testament again is separating himself from this YHVH/ LORD of the Old Testament. For me, I know once I saw this I could not unsee it. His father is not the blood god of the Old Testament. His Father is the Love God that is not out there somewhere. It is in him as well as in you and me.

Christ is showing us that his father is the Father of Love, not the father of blood.   It has been said, “show me your friends, and I will show you who you will be in five years.” I think the same is true of your Heavenly Father God. “Show me your God, and I will show you who you will be in five years.” Religions and their dogma have become jealous, angry, and territorial egos of what is “right” and what is “wrong.”

Jesus/Yeshua is not the son of YHVH/LORD. They are not the same. They are different, and that is why Christ came to set us free from the slavery of YHVH/LORD, or this fiery serpent creature and his blood spell. He needs us, we do not need YHVH. YHVH/LORD is not El. El is not YHVH/LORD. Jesus is making this very clear that his father is the God of Love, El; not the blood god YHVH. Once you see it, you cannot unsee it.

Hmmm, that is interesting and makes more sense.

Don’t take my word for it. Seek the truth for yourself.
