I love speaking life into men and women after my initial session with them, which I learned from my friend Jim. Moving in close and making direct eye contact I say, “Bob, I want you to know that you are good man!” “Jane, I want you to know that I believe you are an amazing woman!”
More often than not, the eyes of both begin to well up with tears. Such simple words. What gives them so much power? They are the very words a man’s heart most often has never heard but longs for, and they validate a weary woman’s strength.
Now in that moment, nothing changes. It really doesn’t matter what I believe. Everything will start to change once they begin to believe it for themselves. The problem is many do not believe they are worthy of love, forgiveness, or a second chance. (Moving from Worthless to Worthy is a process.)
Take some time and read through the list below out loud. Mark up the ones that you believe. How do they make you feel? Which ones do you want to believe about yourself in the future…even today? I challenge you to speak out loud your top ten for the next
30 days.
